When we think about Scientists and Mathematicians. The first picture comes to our mind of a serious man/woman always busy with their calculations and experiments. But today we remember some funny incidents of some Scientists and Mathematicians.
William Feller And his round Table
William Feller the famous Austrian-born Mathematician was well known for the theory of Feller’s paradox and Probability theory in mathematics. One day Feller bought a round table for the dining room. But he could not take the table to the dining room. When after a lot of tries, the table could not enter the room, he was angry. He took a tape and started taking measurements of door length, breadth, table diameter, and height. He calculated a lot and developed a mathematical model. After four to five hours Feller concluded that he can not take the table to the dining room. And with joy, Feller called his wife “Listen! I have got the result of my calculations.”
His wife replied “Good! Leave your calculation now .Food has already been served on the table, Come ! and have your dinner”
Mathematician and His Memory
One fine day in the evening one mathematician was returning with his fellow mathematician from the university. Both were tired and were walking towards the gate of the University. Another old man was crossing them on the other side of the road. The mathematician told his fellow
” The Old man exactly looks like my father “
The fellow replied “What!”
And suddenly the mathematician crossed the road and told the old man “You exactly look like my father “
The old man replied “Not exactly! I am your father”
Norbert Wiener
American-born Norbert Wiener was a mathematician, philosopher, and scientist who has wonderful work on Cybernetics, engineering, systems control, computer science, biology, and philosophy. And He got Ph.D. degree at the age of 18. He served as a professor at MIT.

Norbert Wiener was student-loving and always ready to solve their doubt. Once Wiener was going to the train station. At that time a student asked him a doubt. Suddenly Wiener started teaching with the help of pen and paper. After understanding the concept the student thanked Wiener and started leaving Wiener. Wiener stopped him and told.
“You can’t go “
The student replied, “Why?”
Wiener said, “You have to tell me Where I was going?”
The student said, “How can I know Sir!?”
Wiener said, “You have to tell me in which direction I was going?”
The student said, “You were going towards the station”

Once Norbert Wiener changed his address. His wife was well aware of his forgotten behavior so his wife kept a map of the new address in his pocket. In the evening when Wiener returned, he forgot the new address. He returned to his old address and asked a boy.
