Summary Of The Diary
I could see tears in your father’s eyes. With a low voice, He said-“I want to meet Rajat and Reena. Can you introduce me?”
-“I will try Tomorrow” I replied.
I did not have the courage, to face them again. Thousands of types of questions were playing in my mind, here and there. How did they come? What they are doing now?
But the big question was “Why they are in condition. Is this the future for the bright student”. Why there is a gap between marks and knowledge? I don’t know who was I asking these unanswered Questions? It is said that “Time is the biggest medicine “But why it was not working for them. Time may not be medicine for all. This type of so many lines, Actors tell on TV I have listened to so many times. It’s so nice and sweet for listening. It makes the entire non-living thing makes alive for a moment like a mirage.
The next day, once again we were in the hospital today they were on a bed. Reena was lying on the bed and Rajat was sitting on a stool.
“Have you forgotten Dhanuyatra?
Reena! Can you recognize me?” I said. Both saw me in surprised eyes. Reena heard my voice .two drops of tears and a smile came to her face.
Reena was looking so thin. After college, they passed through so many problems. Because both of the families were not accepting their marriage. They had to leave the town. They reached Delhi. But a race of getting certificates was already started in Delhi. They could not get a job because they did not have certificates. Without home, money, the food they were broken physically and mentally. In the past who could solve so many problems in a moment, were in problems. Sometime Rajat had to work in many places. They had been living in a slum for two years but before 5days Government had destroyed that part of the slums for building a Flyover in the city. So they were on the road.
Rajat was describing all these things. Reena and I were sitting on the bed. In the meantime, we had forgotten about the new baby boy.
After some time Reena said, “Can you do me a favor?”
I said “Yes! tell me.”
Reena said, “Can you take the baby to a good orphanage center?”
-“What are you saying? I will help. don’t worry. ”
“Don’t worry I can give you a job in this hospital?” your father said
“The biggest problem is that our family can find us any time
.they may harm us. I don’t know.”
“We can take the help of the police,” I replied
“But we don’t want reports in the police because they are our
family. we are guilty. But my son is innocent. ”Rajat said.
Your father looked at me and said
“We will take care of the baby. What you will say Madhu!? ”
“Yes, We will .”
The baby was you. I never thought in my life that you are not my son. You are my eldest son. I don’t know what you think after reading this letter. Please forgive both of us. That’s you. What I have written in Diary.
After that day, they left Delhi and reached Bangalore. Some months before, I got a letter from Reena. They are in Bangalore, working in a house as a servant. They are saved now. If you want, you should meet them. Goodbye, when you will get this I may not alive. And remember you are my Son. I may not have given you birth but you are mine.
Yours Dear Mother
